Fox Cancels Popular Show For Supporting Ron Paul?

Fox Business Network recently made the decision to cancel one of it’s more popular programs, Freedom Watch. For those that don’t watch the program, Judge Napolitano, the host of Freedom Watch, is a libertarian who stands for just about everything Fox hates: freedom, Ron Paul, anti-war, and the Constitution. It’s actually quite surprising that Fox took the chance on the show in the first place. Perhaps a rogue executive made the decision to give Napolitano the show without realizing how brash he was capable of being.

It appeared as if Fox could tolerate Napolitano’s anti-war positions and even his crusade against the controversial National Defense Authorization Act, which gives the President the power to indefinitely detain American citizens without trial, but Fox drew its line in the sand with Napolitano’s support for Ron Paul. Other than Freedom Watch, the mainstream media has been quite consistent in its marginalization of Ron Paul, and this should serve as a proverbial shot across the bow to those newscasters and hosts who have shown any generosity to Paul or his campaign over the last several months. Fox and the other mainstream media outlets have now made it clear to newscasters and hosts that Ron Paul’s message of peace will not be spoken of positively in their media outlets. The American people will have to be vigilant as it is highly probably that these types of desperate moves by the mainstream media will increase as Paul picks up more and more delegates enroute to the convention in Tampa.
