George Orwell Would Be Proud

The Pentagon has increased their arsenal of spy drones from 50 in 2002 to more than 7,000 today. With another $5 billion being allotted to the program, the number will likely ballon to tens of thousands in the years to come.

Most of these drones are currently being used overseas for military purposes, but as the video below states, local law enforcement is increasingly using them to spy on American citizens. With the conclusion of the Iraq war and the gradual withdrawal of forces in Afghanistan in conjunction with domestic pressures like high unemployment and increasing unrest, it is extremely likely that these spy drones will be used almost exclusively on American soil in the future.

With the Patriot Act, NDAA Act, Military Commissions Act, highest incarceration rate in the world, only 3 of the 10 amendments in the Bill of Rights still in tact, possibly SOPA and PIPA to censor the internet, an exit tax, worldwide taxation; the media, federal reserve, and the most powerful lobby in Washington (AIPAC) controlled by a tiny group that puts another nation’s interests before America’s, the highest debt level and entitlement liabilities on the planet; Orwell would have been very proud of what America has accomplished in destroying individual liberties in only a few decades.
